Unlike the handheld models which are connected via cables to a computer a wireless barcode scanner is truly mobile and the kind of ‘take anywhere’ equipment that is often needed in today’s workplace.
Wireless scanners are fantastically useful for stocktaking and for use in a warehouse or supermarket where the number of items to be scanned can run into the many thousands. It is of course the mobility of the kit and therefore the mobility of the technician using the equipment that makes these kind of scanners so invaluable.
